Comments On This Entry John Haynes writes: Wow, I've tried pointing out the Rayleigh-Bernard cells forming in my tomato soup multiple times, and each time I just come off sounding like a geek (negative points, if anything). Kudos to her for making it work! Of course, then again, we all know Chris... Matt Rogers writes: Aww...brought a tear to me eye. You're a lucky man, Chris. For most guys, the way to their heart is through their stomachs, but Jill has figured out that for the Weenie, it's through fluid thermodynamics. Which makes her a weenie too. Brian McNoldy writes: I have to agree with this... I've known Jill for several years, and she endures a LOT of weeniedom (not only from Chris, but from friends as well), but has also learned enough about our field over the years to become dangerous. I can easily hear her voice of somewhat mocked excitement as she witnesses this miracle of fluid dynamics we call convection. Observing, appreciating, and excitedly sharing this phenemenon in everyday life is what it's all about! |
